GoDaddy

Godaddy happens to the biggest and one of the most popular domains, which have been providing excellent Webhosting services globally for years now. Offering Linux & Windows based as well. One issue with GoDaddy is that if you wish to pay monthly you have to sign up to one of their pricier Deluxe or ultimate packages. Plus when you add on backups or SSL certificates it gets steeper. It is one of the best websites where you can search a domain for yourself, and they have specialized tools and marketing strategies through which the traffic of a website will drastically increase. They provide safety and security without restricting the content and its flow.

When you purchase any of their packages, they can quickly set up the DN settings, and that will help your domain get shorter and comprehensive shortened links.  Godaddy has been successfully working for 19 million domains, and they make sure that their valued customers get the best of areas that are secure as well as powerful. They are generous with storage and don’t measure traffic.  They are providing the following services efficiently for a long time now.

  • SSL certification – at a cost
  • Website security
  • Email marketing
  • E-commerce solutions
  • Website builder

GoDaddy packages:

  • There are some plans or packages where you have to subscribe with them for three long years
  • They provide few upsells.
  • Has become quite unreliable as of late and they are not really upgrading features or the service much.
  • No backups as standard.
  • NO SSL as standard.
  • NO migrating services.

So there you have it – 7 Shared Hosting providers for you to consider and I hope I answered the question to What is a shared web hosting service? Remember I mentioned in my opening few lines you will need a domain name so factor this in when making your choice as some offer this FREE, even if just for the initial year. Don’t just focus on price – it might seem import initially but think of your market or end-user. You want to produce a fast, secure and reliable service to your customers or readers so a fast server speed and page loading speeds is vital. Is article spinning bad for SEO?

You may be a blogger or even a student and have come across the term article spinning or to spin an article and before you try it the most logical thing to do is to see what it is and what is involved – Oh the joys of Google! That said you are in the right place.

What does it mean to spin an article?

Article spinning is taking something that is written in one way and rewriting the article so that it sounds different. This helps avoids duplicate content issues that will result in penalties from search engines, or being caught copying by your teacher! It’s true students have been known to use spinning tools to duplicate assignments and even make money by selling them.

Play with words!

The idea of article spinning is to write an original article and then re-write the original articles hundreds or even thousands of times to create different versions of the same article. The creator is then left with an abundance of content that links back to their website or product with virtually a very limited amount of resources put into it. Something this can very lucrative for a content producer if it is an affiliate site for example!

Example of spinning a word:

{Hi!|Hello!|Good morning!} {How are you?|Are you ok?}

It can be related to the world of business and politics as well. In public relations and politicsspin is a form of propaganda, achieved through knowingly providing a biased interpretation of an event or campaigning to persuade public opinion in favour or against some organization or public figure. In other words, spinning words or putting a spin on things.

Spinning an article had become common practice with most content aggregators and auto bloggers back before the Panda Update – I will touch on that again! This allowed content aggregators to spin articles quickly and led to the rise of content farms and auto bloggers.

Content farms and auto bloggers were very successful at this time and made up a large portion of successful publishing companies on Google’s search results. Well known sites included EZineArticles.com, Buzzle.com, Ask.com, and eHow.com.

In February 2011, Google released the Panda update. One of its most significant algorithm changes in all of its history. The change aimed to lower the rank of low-quality websites such as content farms. It also became known as the Farm update for that reason…ouch. The Panda update now returned higher-quality websites near the top of search engine results.

The triggers for Panda addresses problems in search engine results such as thin content, duplicate content, low-quality content, content that lacked authority and content farming. Bottom line if your article was not relevant to the title or sentences did not make perfect sense it would penalize the site.

The Panda update has effectively changed the face of search, generally for the better. It’s created a lot more work for content producers and has put a lot more work on webmasters to maintain high standards.

The result is an internet full of quality content and resources. Great content has now started dominating the web and the culture of content is just taking off. The Panda algorithm upgrade essential made prioritising unique and engaging content the key to succeeding in search engine results, making content king. Google loves good content.

This did not mean the demise of article spinning tools or there were loses in article spinning jobs and gigs it just meant that they had to get better at what they did and the software had to learn new ways around the algorithm. It was like a big speed bump!

Is article spinning legal?

The act of article spinning itself can be legal depending on which context it is used in. The deciding factor is the originality of content. If you have written the original article and spin it to generate alternative versions, then it is perfectly legal.

Spinning an article that is not your original article draws a grey line. If the article is spun into a completely new article, with a different outcome then you can argue strongly against copyright infringement. However, if the article is spun with the same written outcome, it would be considered infringement. Always try and avoid plagiarism and at least write one piece or your own original content and then maybe spin it.

Does article spinning still work?

Article spinning can still work depending on methods applied to spin the article. To create a spun article that will hold up some merit you need to ensure that the article is human readable, grammatically correct and includes semantically related keywords.

While spun articles are still relevant for small blogs and affiliate mass content sites, it is not recommended that your core articles that are meant to drive human engagement should be spun – use secondary blogs or link sites linking or pointing to your main site as the article spinning sites to drive traffic.

Can Google detect spun content?

Yes, Google can detect spun content — but only a certain degree. Google can detect badly spun content and closeness in variation. You will be penalized if Google does detect that your content has been spun. By penalized it means they will not promote you up the ranks and will not show your webpage with the article to the public they will move it down the rankings.Sniffing out article spinning

The bottom line is if you spin your content well enough, Google would have a hard time detecting the duplicate content. To do this, you need to ensure that a quality spinner is used from which all grammatical errors have been removed. The key is to maintain article quality from the first version to the last.

With that said there is an amazing article writing tool called Spin Rewriter which uses ENL or Emulated Natural Language, which makes the rewritten content more readable when it comes to grammar. Spin Rewriter 10 also turns sentences around and makes sure that only appropriate synonyms are used. I came across a great Youtube Review on it you can watch it here if you wish to get a better understanding.

A way to by-pass the detection by Google completely is to change spun content by at least 85%. This can be done by adding different viewpoints throughout the test. Using this method of article spinning will almost be like creating original content. In this way, the article would avoid detection.

So back to where we started – Is article spinning bad for SEO?

article spinning tools

At the end of the day, Google is focusing all its efforts on ranking websites based on the quality of the content. Their end game is to create an unparalleled experience for the end-user. Google’s recent core update emphasis this Google Core Update

Google article spinning software updates

While article spinning might not be detrimental to SEO in the short run, but the practice goes against what Google stands for.

In the long run, the use of article spinning will get penalised. Spun articles will get affected in search engine results and in turn, all SEO efforts put into article spinning will go to waste unless you use a good tool say for example like spin rewriter. With Artificial Intelligence brings a much higher quality automated content stream of writing to the world wide web so in my eyes article spinning will live on and the war with Google will continue.

Content creators should focus on making a better user experience to maximise their SEO efforts, even if this means creating less content. In Google’s eyes, creating less content that is relevant and engaging will always outperform creating large amount of content that will have no value to the end user. Doing this will keep you ranking in the search engine results pages for longer and will be worth the time and effort involved.
