When you practice the art of staying alone, calmed and meditate, you will start realising who you are and your infinite potentials. It will also help you create a connection with the world around you. 8. Take on Challenges

Another approach to developing self-love is to leave your comfort zone.  When you take new challenges, you will be exposing another perspective about yourself. Perhaps, you will realise a new potential that has remained dormant within you till that moment.  Take on new challenges, try to break your present personal records, learn new skills.  Learn to play instruments, try public speaking, push yourself to your limits.

9. Listen to your Inner Being

Your senses like to think rationally, but you need to transcend your rational thinking to achieve the extraordinary. One benefit of meditation is that it allows you to recognise your instinct, inner voice or gut -whatever name you choose to call it. Your self-love receives a boost once you develop the ability to listen and trust your intuition. Once you begin to trust yourself, you will be surprised that other people will start trusting you.

10. Take Care of Yourself

Although self-love transcends taking good care of your physical body, it is an integral aspect of practising self-love. A healthy self-image starts from the inside, but looking good on the outside goes a long way in boosting your ego as well. So, do not neglect your body. Give yourself a treat, pamper yourself from time to time, wear the attire that aligns with the healthy self-image you have on the inside.

11. List your Achievements

Do not hesitate to take the credit when you have achieved something remarkable.  There are lots of important things that you have achieved that helped you become a better person. Make a list of all of them as a reminder of your accomplishments. It might be educational achievements, a skill you have learned, relationships you have maintained, bad habits you overcame, and lots more. Seeing such a list makes you happy about yourself. You feel like giving yourself a pat on the back.

12. Learn to Forgive.

When you forgive someone that you have been harbouring a grudge against, you are also doing yourself a lot of good. It helps improve your mental and emotional wellbeing.  Besides forgiving other people, you need to forgive yourself of the blunders you have made in the past. Stop blaming yourself for your bad judgement and foolish decisions in your past. Learn from your mistakes and work towards a brighter future.

13. Learn to Say No Without Being Sorry

How many times have you found yourself in a mess because you failed to say no? If you try to please everyone, you will end up pleasing nobody and hurting yourself. It is okay to decline a request from others if you think it is not in your best interest. A rule of thumb is to listen to your instinct. If you don’t feel like going out with a friend, just simply decline. Remember that your personal interest is important. Don’t hurt yourself in the process of pleasing others.

14. Leave Your Comfort Zone

It is alright to decline offers as we explained in the previous point. In retrospect, you should ask yourself why you are saying no. Is it out of fear or intimidation? Perhaps you should consider facing your fear if you think you are backing down out of intimidation. Facing your demons is an excellent avenue to embrace self-love. Your boldness helps you feel good about yourself.

15. List the Good Things About Your Friends

One approach to doing this is to sit down with a couple of friends and list the areas of strength of each of them. The act of identifying the positive traits of friends is encouraging to them and uplifting to your self-esteem as well. Besides, it’s an exciting way to bod the relationship with your friends as well.

16. Become a child, again

Take a time travel back to your childhood. You can achieve this by studying a picture of yourself when you were a child.  Do you remember your dreams and aspirations as a child? Look at the innocence in your eyes, the purity of intentions, and sincerity. Then try to find those traits in yourself now. You will realise that self-love has been around all these while, but it has been ignored.  Try to relive the childhood experience, and all your worries will fizzle away.

17. Be patient with yourself and those around you.

Let go of urgency and fear. Relax and transform striving into thriving. Trust in yourself, do good work and you will see amazing results and you might even enjoy it along the way.


Some of these tips might seem outlandish at first. Perhaps some of the tips will require more effort on your part. However, when you take the time to practice them, you will feel good about yourself and lead a happier life. The Law of Attraction will start working for you as you continue developing self-love.

Once you can master self-love, you will realise that it is not selfish to love yourself. Rather, it is important to accept yourself for who you are and radiate the best version of you.  Overcome the fear and pressure around you. Instead of striving to become someone else, relax, be yourself, and start thriving. As you continue to practice self-love, the beneficial results will start showing in all facets of your life.

2 Minute Easy Solution to Unlock a Sore Back

In 2011, I was in a pretty bad motorcycle accident only blocks from my home. Maybe I fell victim to the “close to home effect” that asserts most vehicle accidents occur close to home. Racing sports bikes on and off the track has been a hobby of mine for nearly 20 years and that accident was by far the worst.









I was riding my motorcycle down a relatively quiet side street at approximately 30 miles an hour when I approached a vehicle parked in the middle of the road. It hadn’t moved since I spotted it, nor did I see its turn signal activated, so I began passing it. As soon as I was about to pass the vehicle’s rear end, it unexpectedly turned in front of me. Since I hadn’t expected it to move, I was still traveling between 25 to 30 miles per hour.


For anyone who hasn’t experienced an accident on a motorcycle, hitting a vehicle at even those relatively slow speeds feels like getting hit by 10 NFL linebackers. I flew over the car and hit the curb head first (it goes without saying I was wearing my helmet). At the hospital, the doctor said that a witness told the paramedics that when I hit the curb my body folded backwards “like a lawn chair.”


Though no one ever specified the sort of back injury I suffered, I assume I suffered a severe torn lower back ligament, tendon, or muscle (maybe all of the above). Whatever the case, I couldn’t walk for a month with an extremely sore back. Even after my mobility returned to normal, I’d wake up with paralyzing lower back pain. If I sat or lounged around too long, the same excruciating pain made it nearly impossible to stand up for a minute or two.


My sore back got better over the years. However, sleeping the wrong way or sitting for too long irritated my back enough it prevented me from walking completely upright for a few minutes. After my muscles “warmed” up (or rather got the blood flowing back in them again), I felt okay. This part of my story is important to remember because I’ll be touching on the subject of blood flow later.

Finally, I began researching various solutions for unlocking a sore lower back. This blog post intends to provide those suffering from debilitating lower back pain with some options for managing the pain. Hopefully, after trying a few of these options, you’ll find a solution on this list that helps relieve your pain or unlocks your sore back.


Heat Therapy – Temporary

Heat therapy (thermotherapy) has long been a source of muscle pain relief. Though heat therapy may have been around longer, it’s a well-known fact that the ancient Greeks and Egyptians used heat therapy millennia ago.

The earliest physicians had patients lay in the sun for periods as a form of heat therapy, according to a journal published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information. Even today, doctors and scientists say that healthy amounts of sun exposure are healthy for the body and mind.

How Heat Therapy Relieves Back Pain

Medical experts have long claimed that dry heat therapy is more effective than moist heat therapy. The reason being that dry heat improves vasodilation which is when blood capillaries expand, allowing more blood flow (which—as you should remember—is probably why my back felt better after moving around for a few minutes … the blood started flowing). The increased blood flow delivers more oxygen to the muscles, speeds up biochemical reactions, relaxes the muscles, and offers some therapeutic benefit. Generally speaking, heat therapy is used for chronic back pain.


What About Cold Therapy?

Cold therapy reduces inflammation in the muscles by decreasing blood flow—the opposite of what heat therapy does. Doctors usually advise against cold therapy for chronic, long-lasting back pain. On the other hand, if cold therapy feels better than heat for some reason, go for it. Nevertheless, even if cold therapy feels better, it doesn’t mean it’s good for your specific back condition.


Being that ice massages and ice gel packs constrict blood vessels to decrease swelling, it only makes sense that ice also constricts muscles. When it comes to chronic back pain, the last thing you want is for your blood vessels and muscles to constrict (remember, you want your blood capillaries to expand so the blood flows better). Lastly, cold therapy only affects the surface of the skin (numbs pain) and surface tissue (where most swelling takes place).


Painkillers – Temporary

Some people would love to find a legal reason to be prescribed pain killers. However, the truth is, painkillers are also called opioid pain relievers. Most readers have likely heard of the opioid crisis and the many lives lost because of it. Most medications that actually work have some kind of addictive properties even if they don’t contain opioids.

Plenty of prescription nonsteroidal and nonopioid anti-inflammatory painkillers are available. These painkillers do a great job relieving back pain but can be expensive depending on whether or not you have insurance or if it’s even covered. You have to spend time getting prescriptions from your doctor and picking your meds up from the pharmacy—for years if it’s chronic. In a lot of cases, it is a cop-out by your doctor or physio to suggest pain killers and in some serious cases of Sciatica, this is the first thing a physician will suggest. The first thing you should appreciate is sciatica is not a disease. That’s right.

Allow me to be clear about this because it’s important:

“Sciatica” is not a diagnosis.

If you’re seeing a doctor and they’re telling you that’s what you have, you’re not being told the whole truth.

Let’s put it this way:

Sciatica is a symptom. The doctor is only labelling a symptom. They’re not telling you what is actually wrong!

When they put a label your pain, I totally get how good that makes you feel in the moment. What happens next? They prescribe pain killers.

As for over the counter “painkillers” like Advil or Motrin, they never did anything to relieve me of my back pain. I’m not saying it doesn’t work for everyone. Nonetheless, most people I’ve spoken to agree that over the counter painkillers barely help back pain if at all.


If I seem a bit anti-painkiller, it’s due to my personal experience with the side effects and borderline dependency good painkillers caused. I’m a strong advocate of trying highly recommended alternatives if they’re available.


Most importantly, Robert H. Shmerling, MD, Faculty Editor for Harvard Health Publishing, wrote that people suffering from back pain should avoid muscle relaxants and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Doctor Shmerling wrote that the American College of Physicians (ACP) laid out new guidelines in 2017 advising physicians and patients to seek new methods for back pain relief. We’ll touch on these methods below.


Yoga and Other Physical Therapy-Style Activities – Permanent

My experience with steroidal painkillers led me to start searching for alternatives that not only relieves back pain but reverses it. In the aforementioned article written by Doctor Shmerling, the medical industry has known for years that drugs are a waste of money and that back pain goes away on its own—eventually.

The ACP recommended doing progressive relaxation techniques, yoga, or even tai chi (t’ ai chi ch’üan) for 12 weeks or longer to treat chronic back pain. If you don’t notice a change within that time, you might consider NSAIDs.


Of course, people try to sell us on ideas like purchasing a new expensive mattress or going under the knife—not only do these things not guarantee a better back, they cost as much as a used car. Furthermore, surgery oftentimes causes worse pain later on down the road.

When I found out how much yoga classes cost, I decided to find DIY options.

I tried a few programs including some smartphone apps offering step-by-step guides on progressive relaxation techniques and tai chi. While I found some decent mobile apps that I still use to this day, I came across a site called “My Back Pain Coach” offering to teach people low back pain relief through stretching and other techniques.

Most adults just find this amusing but it’s proof of a deeper truth, one that has been revealed through countless experiments. This is what we have a natural, automatic connection with the surrounding vibrations. We’re automatically influenced by them.

Rhythmic vibrations are something we naturally detect and follow. Scientists don’t really know why but some assume that this has an evolutionary purpose that we’ve developed this ability to better understand the world.


Others say since everything is matter vibrating at a high speed, since all that is around you is nothing but energy vibrating, giving the impression of solid matter, this ability to connect with the vibrations around us and to be affected by them is found in our DNA, as natural as life itself.

We don’t know for sure but we know it is true. Even weapons are developed and used to incapacitate people through sound. It’s real. It exists right now. And they have also used sound as a form of alternative medicine for thousands of years since ancient times.

Great leaders and minds of the past discovered that sound can be used for everything from inspiring fear to bringing comfort and joy to calming groups of people and even to healing grave diseases.

He discovered through several experiments that people, when exposed to this frequency, even for a short time, are dulled and are less likely to rebel.

Some historians say his use of the 440 HZ in music, speeches and announcements has been a major tool for preventing the German people, tired of war and suffering from rebelling against the Nazi war machine.

While this is rare nowadays due to people’s access to information, some dictators and totalitarian leaders still use a sound at a 440 HZ frequency to keep crowds under control, dulling their instincts to rebel or to act against the interests of the leader.

Second, you can learn how to use sound to heal yourself and improve your life.

This may also be the most important thing you can do for your development as a person. If used properly, sound can change your life and it can change the frequencies on which you operate, so you become a better person.

You turn pain into joy.

You turn suffering into hope.

You turn conflict into love.

And all with the help of vibrations through the power of sound.

All healing frequencies are based on the seven solfeggio scales. These are ancient scales that can be traced back to a medieval hymn of John the Baptist. It is the music of God and they have used it to heal and to bring comfort as early as 1000 AD.

Each frequency has a specific effect over your body.

The first one is 396 HZ. This turns grief into joy and it is a very strong natural anti-depressant. Use it if you are going through a period of pain or suffering and you would like to be happy again.

This frequency is also used to manifest miracles in your life. It’s the frequency at which you’ll manifest, you’ll attract whatever you desire most. The closer you operate to this frequency, the better in sync you are in nature and the more likely you are to attract everything you desire.

The fourth frequency is 638 HZ. Using this frequency you become a better spouse, a better friend and a better communicator. It promotes empathy and releases anger, allowing you to better connect with those around you.

It’s also a useful frequency to listen together with your spouse, as it creates a bridge of understanding and love between the two of you. It brings people together.

The fifth frequency 741 HZ. Use this to develop your power of self-expression. It makes you a better writer and a better creative. Many famous authors exposed themselves to 741 HZ during their writing process to create their masterpieces.

It’s also known for cleaning you of toxins, improving your health and boosting your immune system.

The sixth frequency is 852 HZ. It is especially useful if you feel lost from a spiritual perspective. Many people testified that they’ve rediscovered God after being exposed to this frequency. While nobody knows how it works, it makes everything clear and to see life and existence as it truly is.

It is hard to believe how well people will react to you after you expose yourself to 638 HZ. You’ll be able to get your point across better and even make people fall in love with you. It’s so effective that you’ll see it as a miracle, this is how I’ve seen it when I’ve first started this.

But how does this work?

Why does it happen the way it does?

To help you understand, we must delve into the science of Cymatics and an experiment conducted by Masaru Emoto.

Mr Emoto, a world-renowned scientist tried a simple experiment. He exposed water to different frequencies and to music. Then he froze the water and photographed the crystals through a high-powered camera.

His findings surprised him.

The water that was exposed to the seven solfeggio scales developed beautiful, symmetrical geometrical shapes, similar to snowflakes. The water that was exposed to rock music and to unnatural frequencies like 440 HZ, the frequency used in Nazi Germany, looked polluted and monstrous by comparison.

This experiment has been repeated many times, and the results had always been the same. Classical music that is played mostly using 432 HZ, one of the seven solfeggio scales built beautiful geometric patterns. Unnatural tones that cause discomfort and pain to humans lead to uneven, ugly shapes.

Your body is made up of about 80% water. Your body is also made 100% of energy, as everything is around us.

Energy vibrating at fast speeds give the impression of matter. This is elementary high-school physics.

Think about it. If it is a car, write the model, the colour and even the extras. Does it come with one of those fancy iPads? Does it come with massage seats? Is it red or black or what colour would you like?

The more specific you will get, the easier it will be for you to manifest it into your life. It’s hard to explain why it works but each time I visualize and think about what I desire, especially in great detail, I end up gaining it.

It’s not always the same. Maybe your ideal spouse is blonde and the person you attract is black-haired. But from experience, in my life and in the life of my friends, about 80% of it will come true, like you were creating it with your own mind.

And you are creating it with your own mind.

This is the definition of manifestation.

You manifest a new reality.
